Q-CTRL Founder and CEO Michael J. Biercuk participating in CSIRO webcast introducing Australia’s first national quantum technology strategy

LOS ANGELES, April 14, 2020 – Q-CTRL, a startup that applies the principles of control engineering to accelerate the development of quantum technology, today announced a strategic investment by In-Q-Tel (IQT), the not-for-profit strategic investor that identifies innovative technology solutions to support the national security communities of the U.S. and its allies.

The community faces the challenge and opportunity of efficiently integrating quantum firmware into their developing quantum computing stacks. Trusting specialist, expert teams to deliver provides the best value in the short term and long run.

Q-CTRL has been working hard to expand access to and the impact of quantum control. In our recent technical manuscript we laid out the primary laboratory validated benefits of the quantum control techniques enabled by our software packages.

How Q-CTRL is leveraging best practice in the computer engineering community to help accelerate the pathway to the first useful quantum computers.

2019 was a significant year for the quantum computing industry, and 2020 is poised to be even bigger. In our latest blog post, Q-CTRL’s founder and CEO Michael J Biercuk has compiled a 2019 retrospective of the industry, and listed his predictions for 2020.

The world is abuzz with news that Google has achieved quantum supremacy. So, what does the news that they achieved quantum supremacy mean in a practical sense?

Q-CTRL’s ‘quantum firmware’ to be incorporated in Bleximo’s ‘quantum accelerators’ to stabilize quantum computing for business applications

In July 2019 Q-CTRL Founder and CEO, Prof. Michael J. Biercuk spoke at the Quantum Error Correction 2019 Conference in London. He joined a fantastic program of experts in quantum computing and Quantum Error Correction, all working to address the fundamental challenge of noise and error in quantum computing.

The investment from top VCs will ensure Q-CTRL’s ‘quantum firmware’ becomes ubiquitous in the race to build the first practical quantum computers.

Recent tests have shown that the Q-CTRL cloud architecture allows complex optimization tasks to run ~9x faster than on a standalone machine, reducing compute time from nearly an hour to just a few minutes. Q-CTRL provides the performance you need and the convenience you deserve.
