We’re excited to announce that Q-CTRL is one of the first commercial partners with leveraging Rigetti’s Quil-T, an extension to their quantum instruction language (Quil) that significantly enhances the capabilities of their stack. Quil-T gives full control over the analog signals defining the machine language on hardware. In this blog post, we describe projects led by the Q-CTRL team leveraging our early access to the new Quil-T analog-layer programming API to improve the performance of Rigetti hardware.

Improving the performance of quantum logic gate sets using Qiskit Pulse

In this blog post we describe a collaborative effort between Q-CTRL and IBM to generate and validate error-robust quantum logic operations using Q-CTRL’s BOULDER OPAL integrated directly into hardware via IBM’s Qiskit Pulse API. Our experiments - which demonstrate up to 10X improvements in coherent-error suppression and hardware stabilization on Valencia - provide an extraordinary use case for BOULDER OPAL, and were described last week at the IBM Quantum Summit.
